The immersive sim angle is 90% marketing bullshit though. not terrible but certainly not remarkable. I like Colantonio's previous games at Arkane and am a sucker for the "supernatural weird west" setting but Weird West did almost nothing for me. Overall I had fun, but I was ready to be done by the time the game ended. I think this game is a great concept where the game itself is not fully realized. I got a good gun early on and just passed that from character to character since nothing better ever showed up. I also felt that, on top of this, the guns aren't very unique. By character 3, I just ignored the skill system almost entirely. It felt annoying to get some progress and have it all stripped from you in a couple of hours. Having 5 different characters who share almost all of the same abilities, but they completely reset when you change characters was really a drag. There wasn't enough of this though.įor me though, the game really wore out by the end. Stuff like that made me feel creative and it was cool that the game allowed it. I really enjoyed that I could do silly things like stack a few boxes to jump onto a balcony and sneak into the second floor of a place where the objective was. There were some aspects I really enjoyed, the atmosphere was great. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.
